Background[]
The short-lived Class 14 "Teddy Bear" is a type of diesel-hydraulic locomotive built at Swindon Works in the mid-1960s. They were intended for shunting, trips between local yards and short-distance goods trains but due to their envisaged duties disappearing from the network as the railways modernised, they had an extremely short life with British Railways. By 1970 they had all either been scrapped or sold to private owners.
For Train Simulator the Class 14 was produced by Iron Horse House and sold with BR Green and two NCB liveries on their website. When their catalogue was sold to DTG, a few minor graphical changes were made before re-releasing on Steam in the BR Green livery only. Scenarios for the West Somerset Railway are also included.
